Citizens Against Exploitation once again protested Shocking Beyond Belief Films’ explosive portrayal of gay marriage Here Come the Brides!, this time at the Texas premiere of the film in Houston.

While none of the protesters would comment on the record about their protest, Brides! director John Aden had plenty to say.

“Don’t get me wrong,” Aden explained. “I’m a strong proponent of free speech. But these clowns have gone too far!”

Aden then went into details about how to stop future CAE protests. “We won’t stop at getting a restraining order, believe me.”

Jarrod Aden, the director’s brother and promoter of the Houston screening had more to say. “On at least one occasion, I saw a movie-goer turn away from entering the theater. That’s seven bucks fewer that I now have in my pocket!”

Jarrod Aden declined to comment, however, on the incident that has SBB supporters in the Lone Star State up in arms. Running late on the way to an important promotional event the morning after the Houston screening, Mr. Aden was unable to start his car, and a preliminary investigation revealed a loosened wire beneath the hood.

Although the authorities were not notified, marketing consultant Mackenzie Aden suspects foul play. “I heard a loud noise around four in the morning,” Ms. Aden explained. “Then, next thing you know, the car won’t start.”

Despite the protests and the attempted sabotage of an authorized SBB vehicle, the two screenings at the Aurora Theater went without a hitch. Once again, Dr. Franklin Grimes was on hand to prepare the audience for the jaw-dropping expose of same-sex unions in Brides!

“We’ve shown this film in Colorado!” Grimes excitedly told the audience. “We’ve shown this film in Texas! We’re taking it to California! And then to Iowa ! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHH!!!!”

Before California and Iowa, Shocking Beyond Belief Films plans to take Here Come the Brides! to Austin and Colorado Springs, as well as submitting the film to numerous film festivals.
