Pre-production Begins on
Tearfully So

Shocking Beyond Belief Films announces the start of pre-production on its newest film, Tearfully So.

Based on a short story by Gina Wencel, the cabaret-singing seductress in Here Come the Brides!, Tearfully So tells the story of a hired gun who has had enough with the killings.

"It's about a mobster assassin who suffers from his own emotions and memories," explains Wencel. "He decides to put an end to the constant murder by taking matters into his own thuggish hands."

Tearfully So will feature newly-tried technology for SBB Films. "I've always wanted to do a film noir picture," says John Aden, the film's director. "And we're working on combining typical noir lighting with green-screen effects similar to those in Sin City."

Wencel's husband, Michael Raab, is designing the scenic backgrounds for the green-screen shots.

"We've already shot test footage using watercolors, black-and-white sketches, and collages for the background," says Raab. "The principals will be shot in front of a green screen, and that will be digitallly replaced by the artwork to create a comic-book, otherworldy feel."

Casting and main shooting is expected in the fall, with the film releasing in Denver by the end of 2006.

"Tearfully So is the next logical step for SBB Films," declares Wencel. "It's taking what we learned in Brides!, exploring a new and exciting subject matter, and creating a production that will live up to the name of Shocking Beyond Belief!"
